On Thursday, 24th September 2026, AMD teamed up with Convergent and held a Solution Day at The Secret Haven. We were given an opportunity to feature our Dreamcore Workstation Line, so of course we brought two of our best.
And to showcase how it runs, we built the Dreamcore AI Lab — two local AI experiences designed to demonstrate what the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700 can do when AI runs directly on the workstations.

Dreamcore Workstation — AI Lab Image Studio
Featuring the Dreamcore Workstation. It housed the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ 9970X with 32 Cores and 64 Threads, along with the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700.
Running on Windows, the Dreamcore AI Lab Image Studio uses FLUX.1 Schnell FP8 to generate images locally on the R9700. That means that you could do AI image generation without needing to send the job to a cloud service.
Dreamcore Rackstation — AI Lab Private Assistant
Up next is our Dreamcore Rackstation. Featuring the AMD Ryzen™ Threadripper™ PRO 9985WX with 64 Cores and 128 Threads, and of course, the AMD Radeon AI PRO R9700.
Running on Ubuntu, the Dreamcore AI Lab Private Assistant uses a 27-billion-parameter Qwen model, a large AI language model for chat and document analysis. Meaning you have a ChatGPT Style assistant running locally, with the ability to analyse private documents without uploading them to an online AI service.
